How heavy should my weighted blanket be?
It is recommended to aim for approximately 10% of your body weight. That way, you can be sure that you are getting the effect you want. Still, anywhere from 5 to 15 % is acceptable – you just have to find what works best for you. If you are 30kg and above the 6.8kg blanket is suggested. If you are 80kg and above the 9kg blanket is suggested. If you are buying for a child under 30kg the 2.2kg blanket is recommended.
Is this product suitable for children?
Weighted blankets are not suitable for children under 3 years old. For children under 30kg the 2.2kg weighted kids blanket is recommended. If they are heavier than 30kg they will be okay to use the 6.8kg blanket providing they can safely lift it.
