Kia ora koutou/Be well Everyone
I’m keen to support small groups, rural (3 members minimum) and suburban (5 members minimum), to come together to create their own networks for what ever reason is important to them. On our Fostering Kids NZ website you will find details that explain how to set up a support group, please take a look here.
These will be new to Northland, but they have been running elsewhere in the country for a couple of years. I’m presenting my first one, ‘Keeping Memories’ on 26 September 2018, 7.00 – 9.00pm in Whangarei. In this discussion we will be covering how to construct your child’s Life Story. Their story can take many varied forms, particularly as our technology advancements increase. Come share your great ideas and questions. You can register the same as you would for a workshop (click here).
I love meeting up with you at the workshops we deliver under our Oranga Tamariki contract but if you’d like some one to one time with me, please feel free to contact me on Facebook, email, text or ring our freephone 0800 693 323, what ever is convenient to you. Please don’t struggle too long on your own – your caregiving experience doesn’t have to be a lonely one.
Our next workshop is Carer Families in Whangarei on Tuesday 4 September, please register here or contact Christine on 0800 100 849 for more information.
