LIFT Model – Foundations For Attachment

“I now have a deeper insight into high level, complex tamariki behaviours”

The Foundations for Attachment programme completed in June, will continue with monthly support group meetings. This will help those caregivers who attended to integrate this therapeutic model into supporting the children in their care. We know that children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma require a different way of parenting- it takes more than love. The attitude of PACE will help our tamariki and mokopuna to feel safe, to trust and to therefore heal. Please remember to – Keep calm and keep caring!

Don’t forget to check out our training schedule

Thanks to all who attended (great numbers and participation) these trainings.  Please let me know if there’s a topic that you’re keen to discuss so I know I’m meeting your needs.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

Thanks to Lianne N for introducing me to eleven of her members in Whangarei and the seven others I had the opportunity to meet in Mangawhai, at the prompting of Otamatea Community Support Services. It’s awesome to see you providing a safe space to share the struggles and joys on your journey with your grandchildren.

Do something for YOU today, you’re so worth it!

Kia ata noho, kia mau tonu / Keep calm and carry on,

Nā Leanne / From Me!

Have fun!
