North West News – May 2017

Kia ora koutou katoa

It’s amazing how many times I’ve used the phrase ‘time poor’ this term. Busyness seems to be epidemic! In other words, we have heaps of stuff to do and we don’t have enough time to do it! Sometimes we just don’t know how to say no and sometimes we don’t have the mindfulness or space to sift through it and determine, is this really important. There are other important questions that can assist us to prioritise or put boundaries around our giving. Caring for ourselves can seem like a luxury or just another thing to organise.

A caregiver I was speaking to, connected these issues to ‘Caregiver Burnout’.  This important issue will be one of the topics that will be included at the Regional Hui/get together alongside other critical issues and information that will assist caregivers and their care of children. More information about our Regional Hui/get together, will be coming out soon.

Planning ahead – Please consider how planning ahead now, may assist you to attend next terms training dates and the Hui. Something as simple as writing it on your calendar.
