Kia Ora koutou/Greetings everyone!
It’s March already! Where has the beginning of the year disappeared to?
I have been enjoying walking in the Tararua Ranges with my husband and picking (and eating) the produce I have been growing in my new vege patch. Haven’t we been having some beautiful weather too, although I hear the calls for some rain now as our greenery is getting browner.
Its been a busy time planning and supporting some exciting things for Foster Care Awareness Week around our region. These include Dessert evenings, cinema trips, swimming pool get togethers, lunchtime meet and greets, and I do believe there may well be a bowling trip too! (see below for full details).
But first I would like to share with you our month of March Trainings:
On the morning of Wednesday 13 March I will be in Masterton. We will be holding a 2 hour discussion session about Living and Working with Traumatised Children.
Saturday 16 March is a full 6 hour workshop on Building Secure Attachments here in Lower Hutt.
On Wednesday 20 March I will be in Porirua between 9:30 and 11:30am. We will be discussing about Coping with Grief and Loss.
Another chance to join me for a discussion session will be on Tuesday 26 March. I will be in Paraparaumu offering an evening looking into Attachment Types.
I do hope many of you will come and join me to share, learn and meet other people too. To register click here.
Do you live in the Hutt Valley area?
I have just got off the phone today to a lady who has offered to provide foster children cupcakes for their birthday. She has a shop in the Lower Hutt area and would love to be able to support you with a donation to help make their day a little more special.
If you would like to nominate a child in your care then please do get in touch with me and I will be able to give you a little more information on how to do this.

As I said above, there’s quite a lot happening around our region. There is so much to choose from and hopefully you will have had an invite or two for something happening in your area.
