Kia ora everyone
Wow, what a whirlwind of a month March was. There were many opportunities around the region to join in on the ‘Children’s Day’ events and then celebrating during Foster Awareness Week. The busy and fun week culminated with the national Excellence In Foster Care awards on 9 March at Parliament, Wellington. Ten great caregivers across New Zealand were chosen from nominations to receive these wonderful civic awards as an acknowledgment of what they have done with children placed in their care.
Just to keep you updated with the Lower North Regional Coordinator role, we are currently recruiting for this position. Lastly, I thought I’d share a link of an article that made me rethink some things as a foster parent:
I hope it connects some dots for you like it did for me.
