Held in Auckland each year Face Your Future is a two day, motivational workshop that explores career pathways, interview skills and offers a session on personal presentation. With a focus on pushing through adversity, Face your Future encourages the young people who attend to move forward in life and not let their past define them.
Face Your Future is open to teenagers, aged 16 – 18, in the care of caregivers or agencies that are members of Fostering Kids NZ. This year the workshop will be held Tuesday 16 – Wednesday 17 April, which is during the next school holidays.
Every year the team at L’Oreal NZ go to great lengths to ensure that the programme caters to young people of all genders, with a wide range of interests and career ambitions.
Not only are the young people offered an opportunity to learn skills to help them become employment ready but they are also treated with generous L’Oreal gifts. Youth that have attended in the past have left the event with their heads held high, motivated and ready to take the next step in their journey.

What if the young person in my care lives outside of Auckland?
While the event is held in Auckland, there are limited places available for youth outside of Auckland to attend. Flights and accommodation costs for these participants will be covered.
