No doubt there are lots of events and news in your local areas trying to influence your vote.
Tairawhiti (Gisborne) Association
A Morning Tea was held on 16 August. We all enjoyed the thought provoking video of The Healing Brain. It helped us understand our mokopuna better through clear information on how the brain works and heals. Hopefully we can organize something like this again!

ORANGA TAMARIKI CARE TEAM INVITATION TO ALL CAREGIVERS
TOPIC: “The Healing Brain”: How can we help heal a child who hasn’t had the best start in Life, (the first 1000 days)”. A 40 minute video that is sure to stimulate discussion as it is so relevant to caregivers, the video is punchy and entertaining. This is great stuff as it helps us to understand there has to be a different way of caring
WHEN: Friday 8 September 17; 9.30–11am
WHERE: Clive Rugby Clubrooms, Farndon Road, Clive.
Email Cherie Hames firstname.lastname@example.org for support or details on get togethers/meetings.
It was lovely to meet up again with the Gisborne caregivers who participated in the Child Development workshop. We shared so much knowledge and experiences on this subject. I look forward to catching up with you on September 19 at the Identity & Belonging Workshop.
Napier caregivers are also invited to attend an Identity & Belonging Workshop on Thursday 7 September. Hopefully, I will have the pleasure of meeting familiar faces again. Please register your place by following this link.
The last week of September is going to be a very busy one for us, as we will be at our National Conference learning lots and meeting many caregivers. Unfortunately this means that we won’t be able to get our October Snippets out to you on 1 October. Instead we will share some learning from conference with you in the second week of October.
