TRIPLE T – Teamwork Towards Healing Trauma Affected Children Using a Therapeutic Approach.

I am excited to be in the final stages of planning for a hui in Gisborne on 30 October and one in Hastings on 1 November.   Leaders of the foster care sector will provide the latest learnings on therapeutic parenting approach and developmental trauma to our foster caregivers, plus professionals, to ensure that our children and youth have better life outcomes. These hui are open to all caregivers and professionals and registration is free for Fostering Kids NZ, caregiver members.  Registration will open later in the month.

FETAL ALCOHOL SPECTRUM DISORDER (FASD)

The Developmental Assessment Programme (DAP) at Hawke’s Bay DHB is providing FREE education on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

These sessions will be useful for teachers, social workers, health professionals, NGOs, justice and anyone who is working in community organisations who support whānau living with FASD.
