Kia Ora koutou/Greetings everyone!
I trust you are all geared up for winter and that you will be warm, dry and cosy for the next three months.
Foster mothers, grandmothers – I hope you received extra cuddles, a sleep in, breakfast in bed, gifts, and felt valued and appreciated on Mother’s Day. Hopefully this will continue for more than just one day a year… 😊
The Minster for Children, Tracey Martin, announced in May that a review into caregiver reimbursements will occur in the near future – no time line given or what this may look like as yet so watch this space.

My reflections on training last month:
A big shout out to those who attended “Keeping You and Your Family Safe” in Whakatane. Some deep insights were shared and gained with some practical ways to protect our whanau – very proactive ideas.
“Building Secure Attachments” in Rotorua was great for learning more about secure & insecure attachments and how to use the “PACE” model to help rewire the brains of those who have insecure attachments.
Trainings in June:
To register please go to our website. Should you not be able to attend for any reason after registering, could you please send in your apology ASAP to Christine (0800 100 849) so that we can anticipate numbers and cater accordingly.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Nga mihinui/Kind regards
