Kia Ora koutou/Greetings everyone!

We are now well into the school year and back to being a taxi service for our tamariki (children).  Busy, Busy!  As well as putting all their events and commitments into our diaries, remember to make time for some Self-Care for you too!  It will be as beneficial to them as it is to you.

P.S  I am here for support, advocacy and a listening ear.

As we start the journey towards Autumn, try and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible with your children before daylight savings comes our way again.  Thank you for the work you do 24/7 for our tamariki and mokopuna (grand children).

March Celebrations

The start of March is a very important time in the care sector in NZ.  From Sunday 3 March, we kick off Foster Care Awareness week with Children’s Day.  A day to celebrate the importance of tamariki/children in our lives.

Following on is Foster Care Awareness Week.  This is a week to highlight the wonderful role you all play in our communities and society too!  This important week is a time of acknowledging and appreciating the challenging and rewarding role you and your whanau/family undertake.

“The Big Splash” Rainbow Springs, Rotorua  – 2 March

A big thanks to the Bay of Plenty Fostercare Association for organising this in conjunction with Fostering Kids NZ again.  This great event was open for everyone in our region to attend with special discounted entry fee.   I’ll post some photos about this next Snippets.
