Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Workshop

Jeff Nobel, Founder and CEO of Noble Initiatives, is presenting a full day FASD workshops in Christchurch on Monday 27 November  at the Commodore Hotel, 449 Memorial Ave, Christchurch.  Jeff uses an interactive and personal approach and delivers relevant, useful and need-to-know information to help and support caregivers, front line workers and educators of those working with FASD.  The cost is only $10 per person (cash at the door) which includes morning tea and lunch.  Please register by 20 November to lee.tempest@nullfasd-can.org.nz or 021 176 8220.

Apprenticeships for the Care-Experienced

L’Oréal New Zealand and the New Zealand Hair & Beauty Industry Training Organisation (HITO) are offering ten scholarships for care experienced people within the beauty industry.

Each scholarship recipient will complete a Level 4 national qualification in barbering, beauty therapy, or hairdressing through a HITO apprenticeship.  The HITO Sales Training Advisors will support the scholarship recipients and their employers throughout their training.
