Tēnā koutou katoa/Greetings to you all

I hope you all enjoyed the school holiday and had lots of adventures.   We certainly had the weather for it, most days were wonderful and sunny!

I really have enjoyed facilitating the new updated workshops; Building Secure Attachments, Child Development and Understanding and Supporting Behaviour.  Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their own experiences and knowledge.  Thank you also for the positive feedback about incorporating the latest research and practice around trauma informed care. These workshops are being offered again this term. Please follow this link to find out more details and to register.

The upcoming workshops are also a wonderful way to meet other caregivers and build up your support networks.  Please also make the use of your support groups, as they are a good way to connect with other caregivers.

Four pirates, 50 people and a parachute proved to be an awesome evening of fun.  A nice pot luck meal was shared complete with Christmas crackers and candles.  The night was not over until Santa arrived loaded with gifts for all the children.  Sparklers in the dark was the way we ended the evening.

Thank you to all who helped prior or on the day to make it a success. We gathered a few photos and recipes for our recipe book – we are requesting you send us your best recipe please. Email:  otautahifca@nullgmail.com

Our annual meeting is coming up in August, please watch this space for your invite.  If you are able to assist on the committee please consider this role.

It’s not too late to complete our survey.Winner of the grocery voucher will be announced at the AGM.

Keep calm, spring is almost here
