Recently there was a lovely evening where a lot of caregivers, past and present Fostering Kids NZ staff, family and friends of Billie Galloway came together to celebrate the 60 years of caregiving that she has given to the care sector in New Zealand.
What an amazing woman. An inspiration to us all for her dedication and commitment. Such great stories were shared and to hear some testimonies of the children and young people she cared for speak about how their lives had been changed by her caring and love.
What a legacy! Many thanks to all the organising committee for making this night joyful.
I saw this visual and it really made me stop and think for myself and for the children in our care. It would be great as an activity to create these lists with our children, getting their input, their ownership.
Spring is here, flowers are out. Take care and reach out if you need support or someone to walk the road with you.
Kia Kaha, kia manawa nui – take care, stay strong
We are currently working on Term 4 workshop schedule and will let you know when they open for registration. If you have any questions about training please contact Christine on 0800 100 849.
