Wishing you all a very Festive Season and I hope the school holidays are filled with fun, laughter and love. This is our last “Snippets” for the year and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting many of you at trainings, support groups and events throughout the year.
Thank you to YMCA for the opportunity for three of our carer families to attend their Family Camp at Camp Adair, Hunua, in February 2018. We had great feedback from the families that attended at the postponed camp in October and November after their flooding at the beginning of this year.
We had a fabulous time at the Family Fun Day events this year at Glenfield Pool, Lagoon Pools & Leisure Centre and WestWave. Here are a few pictures of the day. Thank you to all that made it along.
Foster Hope is hosting a day out in the country for children in care at Kiwi Valley Farm on the 26 January 2018 from 10am – 2pm. We’re looking forward to seeing you all for a great day out walking around the farm, feeding animals, riding horses and ponies and exploring the maze with hidden caves. Entry fee and lunch is included for children and caregivers. Keep an eye out for the mailout with details on how to register, these will be required by 20 January 2018.
This event has been made possible due to the success of Valentina’s Purple Hope Day fundraiser. This special little angel will be spreading her love to lots of children on this day.
My last day for this year will be Thursday, 21 December 2017 and I will be back on Monday, 15 January 2018. During this time, should you require URGENT support, please contact 027 369 3323 and leave your name and contact number. These messages will be checked daily.
